In the following galleries are photographs of finished dolls - either dolls that have been made by either myself or the original artist. The gallery of John Nissen dolls shows how the one doll can be made into different versions.

All Porcelain

These all porcelain dolls range in size from 15cm to 35cm (6”-15”). They all have porcelain head, arms, legs and body, and can be posed to either a sitting or standing position.

Half Dolls

Half dolls, also known as tassel dolls, are typically about 8cm (3”) high
They can be made into a tassel to hang from a door knob or into a pin cushion (pattern available).
According to the purpose the doll will be used the greenware can be supplied with a pre-made hole in the head for hanging purposes, or without when the doll will be used as a pin cushion.
A pair of crossed legs to suit these half dolls is also available.

John Nissen

John Nissen is a famous Danish sculptor. Until approx. 1998 his molds were only available in a 66cm (26”) size and were licensed to Otto Lindeman gmbh of Germany. Lindeman’s ceased business in 1999 and for several years Nissen molds were not produced. In approx. 2004 Seeleys began distributing Nissen molds, but only in the smaller 56cm (22) size. Molds to make the larger dolls are no longer available.

The finished dolls vary in size from 48cm to 74cm (19” - 29”)
